EXHIBITION OF CRAFTS IN MINIATURE

The exhibition of the Ancient crafts in Miniature in Città di Castello, is a very special & unusual thing to discover. Brought together today by the skills and expertise of Silvio Bambini who has handmade many, complete in miniature to the last detail, ancient workshops e.g blacksmiths, carpenters, coopers (barrel makers) and printers. Particular care has been taken to use authentic tools to produce the interiors and exteriors of the model shops and houses ,all carefully decorated in the style of the time. Many of the models are animated :- cobblers, watermills and wheels, lights which go on & off. This gives a real feeling of the Upper Tiber Valley, and Italy, of the past. Of special interest is the precious collection of hand made miniatures of Nativity scenes.
