CATHEDRAL DIOCESE MUSEUM
The early fourteenth century elegant "Pastorale" from Siena is the most important attractive work in this Museum, that can be ascribed to the Tuscany goldsmith's art.
The "Tesoro di Canoscio" (Canoscio's Treasure), so called because it was found at Canoscio in 1935) is composed of chalices, trays, and many liturgical objects dating back to between 1600-1700: the 24 pieces that make this collection are rare in Europe and very precious.
Other censers, chalices and relics, well made and from different ages, complete the collection that also contains a painting set among two works by Giulio Romano and Pinturicchio's "Madonna with Child and Saint James".
